Polygon launched a 12-month Delegate Incentive Program (DIP) to boost governance participation in Polygon DAO.

Areta designed the program, managed the application and selection process, and conducted performance reviews throughout the program.

Polygon is a leading Ethereum L2 with a governance model that relies on active delegate participation. The DAO launched a revamped governance framework and identified the need to seed delegate capacity and public engagement through an incentives program.

Areta defined eligibility criteria, quarterly performance KPIs, and a review mechanism to track delegate performance over 12 months. We developed a three-pronged reward structure that balanced awareness creation, governance activity, and distribution metrics across qualified delegates.

The DIP produced tangible increases in delegate-led content and governance engagement, provided a tested incentive model for future delegate initiatives, and supported Polygon’s revamped governance model.
