Saber enables financial institutions, fintechs and businesses to move money across key global and emerging-market corridors. The company holds licences, registrations and authorizations in Canada, the EU, India and Australia. Over the past nine months, Saber’s payment volumes have grown more than 6x, processing billions of dollars across 40+ countries.
The capital will fund Saber’s expansion across emerging markets in Asia-Pacific and the Gulf region by securing local licences and banking relationships, enabling the growth of Saber’s payment capabilities and strengthening settlement economics in these markets.
This investment reflects the growing role of stablecoins as settlement rails for cross-border payments. Asia-Pacific and the Gulf region carry some of the largest payment corridors in the world, yet moving money across them remains slow and costly on legacy rails. Saber connects local financial systems in these markets with global stablecoin liquidity.
Saber also plans to expand into B2B payments, where businesses still face significant friction when paying suppliers, managing treasury and moving working capital across borders.
Areta acted as the financial advisor to Saber, and is privileged to support Edul on this transaction. This transaction reinforces Areta as the leading investment banking firm for digital assets in the APAC region.
