Stakin’s mission is to deliver secure, high-availability, and institution-grade staking infrastructure for the digital asset ecosystem. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Estonia, Stakin operates enterprise-grade validators across more than 40 Proof-of-Stake networks, serving leading foundations, protocols, funds, and institutional participants. With over USD 1.5 billion in assets under delegation, Stakin has established itself as one of the most trusted non-custodial staking providers globally.
The Tie, a leading US-based provider of institutional digital asset data, analytics, and workflow solutions, acquired Stakin to expand its infrastructure capabilities and accelerate the development of a fully integrated institutional platform. The transaction brings together two highly complementary businesses, combining The Tie’s proprietary data, analytics, and institutional distribution with Stakin’s high-availability validator infrastructure.
The combination creates a differentiated, vertically integrated platform spanning data, insights, and staking infrastructure, designed to meet the evolving needs of institutional participants as digital asset markets mature. By unifying market intelligence and core infrastructure, the platform offers a seamless solution for institutions seeking secure, scalable, and data-driven token participation.
This transaction represents one of the most significant staking-focused acquisitions to date and underscores the accelerating convergence of data, infrastructure, and institutional-grade services across the digital asset sector.
Areta acted as the exclusive strategic and financial advisor to Stakin, guiding the company throughout the transaction process, managing strategic acquirer engagement, and supporting a successful outcome aligned with long-term institutional growth objectives.
